This program is designed to support both expectant and new moms in developing and practicing healthier lifestyle skills. With a well-rounded focus on exercise, nutrition, stress management, and emotional wellness, each class is led by a team of experts in a supportive environment.

Mommy and Me Fitness Class

Fridays, October 31, November 21, and December 19

Bond with your little one while moving, stretching, and having fun! This interactive yoga and fitness session is designed for moms and their babies or toddlers to enjoy together. You’ll build strength, improve flexibility, and boost your energy through gentle movement and playful exercises. The class also includes mindful breathing and relaxation techniques to support postpartum wellness. No prior yoga experience necessary. (For Ages 0 to 3)

Understanding Play and Development Skills for Little Ones

Madeline Allen, a pediatric occupational therapist specializing in infant development, this
hands-on class will provide guidance on simple yet effective play activities to support
baby’s growth and allow an increased understanding of key developmental milestones. You’ll learn:

  • How to fill wake windows with purposeful play
  • When to seek early intervention support
  • The power of trusting your mother’s intuition

Learn simple and practical ways to keep your home safe and healthy in this virtual seminar led by Anais Smith, Bilingual Program Specialist. Topics include pest control, mold prevention, reducing slips and falls, proper use of carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, safe cabinet storage, and poison control. Participants will leave with actionable tips to protect their household and create a safer living environment for their family. In collaboration with Partnership for Maternal & Child Health of Northern NJ and Englewood Health Department.

Protecting Your Family from Lead Exposure (Lead Prevention Workshop)

Join Anais Smith, Bilingual Program Specialist and our Lead Inspection Specialist from the Englewood Health Department for an essential workshop on understanding and preventing lead exposure, especially in older homes. Learn how lead affects children from prenatal stages through development, the risks of inhalation and ingestion, and the dangers of lead poisoning. The session covers laws and safety regulations, testing options, provider responsibilities, and a demonstration of lead testing kits. Representatives from our local health department will share guidance on home inspections, eradication processes, and available resources, empowering parents to protect their children and advocate for their family’s health. Each family will receive a lead home testing kit. In collaboration with Partnership for Maternal & Child Health of Northern NJ and Englewood Health Department.
